Lincolnshire company which was involved in chemical manure
manufacturing, brick and tile making, and was also a coal
merchants. The certificate was issued to the founder, William
Greeson Hammond and dated 28th July 1897. Green and yellow with
white embossed seal. Original signatures of directors John
Smithson and George Young, together with that of Christopher
Hammond, company secretary. The company was acquired by Fisons
Ltd in 1930. William Greeson Hammond died in Racine, Wisconsin
in 1945.
Certificate size is 24
cm wide x 21 cm high (10.5" x 8.5"). It will be mounted in a
mahogany frame, with gold inlay, size 40 cm wide x 30 cm high.
