Road. This grade-II listed pub
closed in 1995 and is
now in residential use. |

building details: |
Inn of C17, coursed limestone rubble
with thatched roof and brick chimney stacks. Gable end to road with plan in
two main sections. That nearer the road is basic 2-room plan with nearly
central front door on east side. Integral gable end stack. Two storeys.
Mostly modern casements under timber lintels. Modern colourwashed gabled and
clay tiled brick porch. Gable end has blocked door. The rear element is a
1-room unit, but taller than the other and with its east wall stepped out.
It has two 3-light casements on the east side. The rear west wall is
continuous for both elements. |
