pub was present by 1822 and closed in 1966. It is now in residential use. |

building details: |
House, formerly a public house. C17,
probably altered C18. Timber framed construction with roughcast render,
ground floor encased or rebuilt in brick, the whole colourwashed. C20 tile
roof, T-plan, of 2 storeys, cross-wing apparently later. LH gable and main
block each have one 2-light casement with glazing bars per floor. Main block
has plank door adjacent to junction with cross-wing. In line with this is
red brick multiple ridge stack. Red brick external stack to side elevation
of cross-wing. Lean-to outbuilding to RH gable end of main block. |
