The Dog & Duck was situated at 38-40 High
Street. This grade-II listed pub is
now in residential use. It was present by 1783 and closed in the 1950s. |

C17 or C18 small terrace, altered.
Roughcast over timber frame on plinth, upper part of wall tile-hung in
fish-scale tiles. Old clay tile roof. One storey and attics. Four gabled
dormers with 2-light casements and glazing bars. Ground flour has four C19
sashes with glazing bars. |
