The Red Lion was situated on Broom Road. This
18th century grade-II listed pub closed
c1920. It is now used as a private house. |

building details: |
Cottage, formerly the Red Lion
public house. Pebbledash render over timber frame. Thatched roof. 3-room
plan block of one storey and attics, with C19 2 storeyed block projecting
from rear. One 3-light and 2 2-light casements to ground floor, one eyebrow
dormer to attic with 2-light casement. Rustic open porch has hipped thatched
hood. Plank door. Red brick ridge stack, rendered integral gable end stack
to LH. |
