In the late 1960/70's the pub was run
by Daisy Walker. She was aunt to the famous boxer Billy Walker. Operated by
the Ind Coope brewery. In the back corner was a jukebox operated with 6d
pieces.
Another pub game was a punch football which consisted of two goal-keeper
punch gloves operated with a gun type grip and a trigger to punch the ball
from end to end. The game was set into a glass topped table. |
