The Pineapple was situated on the
B3051. This pub closed in 2017 and the
building was reopened in 2019 as an Italian restaurant. Prior to its
transformation it was marketed by various estate agents who described it as
a traditional thatched pub with an open fire and exposed beams. A further
selling point was that it had been mentioned in the Domesday Book. Its pub
sign around the time of closure depicted a pine cone, which in late Middle
English was called a "pineapple". |

The Italian restaurant closed in 2021
the "pizzeria and pasteria" that took over the building closed in April/May
2022 and the pub/building can be leased for £38,000 + VAT per year. |
