Old Hatch Gate

The Old Hatch Gate is now in residential use.

From The Good Pub Guide 1983:
The taproom of this old tiled and partly timbered pub, alone among the fields on a quiet road, is quite unspoiled: flagstones, beams, a comfortable leatherette bench built against the partly panelled cream walls, and a no-nonsense fire. There's no nonsense either, about the splendidly old-fashioned prices of the well-kept Brakspears Special, Old and Mild on handpump. The carpeted saloon has comfortable easy chairs, and there's a small public bar. Hens and ducks keep an eye on the table, climbing frame and slides by the car park.
