The Fleur De Lys was situated on the A330.
This pub is said to have been built as a station for the Windsor-Ascot
Railway as proposed by GWR but the Southern Railway company at that time
objected and the line never was built. |

The
landlord was Peter Turner who sold it on to Ian & Val Fenton. I was a
policeman at the time in Bracknell. I lived at 2 Holly Cottages with
Fianach Jardine and played cricket for local club. Some names i can
recall are Mike & Anne Holmes (milkman),Marg &tom Saunders,Mark
Dean,Charlie Jones & sons Eric & Duncan dave Hollis ,Peter Hughes,John
Prince, Tony & Worm Fenton (Next Door neighbours) and many more. |
