The Who'd A Thot It appears in a
couple of scenes of the 1954 film Bang! You're Dead. Actor Jack Warner can
be seen walking through the garden and into the pub. |

My parents lived in Palmer Lodge next to this pub. St
Sebastians Church was the other side. My mother Edna was the church
organist, The publicans wife was called Trudy, My father Maurice Briar was a
regular at their pub. As a child I remember watching the big outside light
going off reflected on my bedroom wall and knew Daddy would be home soon!
Can't remember the name of the publican. What a shame it was demolished! |
