This pub was also known as The Admiral. To enter
the pub you went down steps from the street into a long narrow bar, adorned
with nautical paraphenalia. This pub is now in retail use. |

I remember it well even though I was only a
child in the 70s when my uncle DJ’d there every week. His DJ name was Phil
Vernon. Great memories. He brought in the crowds. Disco lights he made
himself with coloured paper and two turntables. Proper jocking! |
