For six months I ran the Fairview Hotel on the corner of Tilehurst Rd/Brunswick Rd,and used to frequent The Swiss Cottage with the medical students who shared a house opp the Fairview Hotel. It was also used by the biker fraternity,the landlady who ran the pub, her husband also ran a pub in Hendon,We had a pool team who for one season went unbeaten in our league,by the time my six month contract as the hotel manager was up in February 1995,the pub was about to close.
