building details: |
Hall house, now public house. Mid
C15, altered C18 and C20. Timber framed encased in painted render and
pebbledash; old tile roof gabled, and hipped on left half. L-plan of 2 or 3
framed bays much altered on ground floor. 2 storeys and cellar. Chimney at
rear. Black painted plinth. Road front:- 3 irregular sash windows with
glazing bars, 4 panes wide on first floor, 6 panes wide on ground. 6 panel
door to left of centre in doorcase of panelled pilasters, small brackets and
flat hood. Interior:-most of timber frame exposed on first floor with jowled
posts and large tension braces. |
