Another symptom of decline in the good old town
of Buckingham, during the past week, has shown itself in dismantling the
well-known inn, the Cobham Arms, which has been the scene of political and
municipal feasts for about a century, and a posting and coach-office as
long. It is now to be converted into a bank, under the auspices of the
London and County Banking Company, whose agent will open his commission
there as soon as the necessary alterations are completed. |
