The Rising Sun was situated at 147 Horton Road and is now used as an Indian restaurant, having closed in 1999.

This pub was a life saver in Summer 1975. My cousin and I were demolishing a row of houses just up the road. Early starts and late finishes (well, we were a lot younger then). Pints of shandy at opening time we're very welcome! Happy days!
