The Royal Oak was situated on Missenden Road and closed c1997. It has now been demolished.

My parents managed and ran the Royal Oak, from 1970 to 1977. They were happy days, however my father died in 1976. Mother didn't get her licence renewed and in 1977 we were effectively given the boot.

Name Dates Comments Anthony Waite c1982/1992 My Brother Robert Gregson ran the pub with his Wife Lynda. They had two daughters, Faye and Lee. I last met Robert in 1995. My hope now is that anyone browsing this site may help me trace Robert, Lyn or his daughters' whereabouts
