The Coach & Horses was situated on the High
Street. This pub was originally known as The Grapes. It changed its name to
The Coach & Horses briefly in the 1970s before reverting back to The Grapes
and subsequently closing in the 1980s. |

I just remember Tom Paxton asking way to the coach and horses when he
quit the train station. Then he was in the pub (he was famous in the
french radio at that time) Doug kyle and the Philarmonius Jug Band
openeded it. I think 40 or 50 people in the first floor of this pub. |
