The Red Lion was situated on West Street and is

A few decades ago I was a DJ (Ray the
DJ – how naff!) at the Red Lion – Marlow, I am sad to see that its now a
restaurant. Many good nights were had by all at the disco and themed nights.
Early night opening I played pop, Motown, soul and disco from the eighty’s
and earlier, then from about 10.00 we moved to Rock and heavy metal, Guns
and Roses a particular favourite at the time. I always thought it was great
to be able to change with the cliental at different times in the evening.
The pub had some great customers and staff, and I often wonder, now I am in
my sixties, how everyone is? I lost touch when I left to go live in Crete
for a few years, but that is another story. |
