The Dog & Pot was situated at 92 Rogers Lane. First
referred to as 'The Dog's Head & Pottage Pot' in 1758 as an inn that had
stabling for five horses and a coach house. The original building was
demolished in 1900 and rebuilt as the present-day incarnation. The building
has been noted as a good example of an Arts & Crafts-style public house.
This pub shut in 2012 and has been renovated into a private home, the
adjoining land also used for housing. |
