The Swan was situated on Mursley Road. This pub was built in 1848 and was owned by Ind Coope when it closed its doors for the last time in 1991 and became a private residence.

Brian Gilkes	1974/1976	My mum & dad were the publicans they went over to the UK from Australia to run a pub which was something they wanted to do. their names Vi & Doug, my sister & her husband joined them as well. Names Bob & Anne they also had a pet Alsatian her name was Shanta when they came back to Australia they brought the dog with them .
