The Claremont Arms was situated at 74 Ainsworth Street and has now been demolished.
My father , Frederick W. Arnould bought the pub from James Caudron of London and our family managed and lived above the pub until his death in 1925. The pub was sold and converted into living space for two families. My family lived one half until I moved in with friends around 1970.
