Prince Albert

The Prince Albert was situated at 8-10 High Street, Chesterton, Cambridge. This pub was demolished around mid 1970s, to make way for road widening.  Publican in 1973 was Claude Gates.

Eddy Warren 1962/1965 We used to go in most lunchtimes, all working as apprentices etc. at the nearby Pye factory, which was all eventually taken over by Phillips. We used play darts have a sandwich and a beer. Remember Claude the landlord. I'm now coming up for 82 at the end of 2024.
