The Racehorse

The Racehorse, Cambridge

The Racehorse was situated at 244 Newmarket Road and is now used as a McDonalds restaurant. Closed in 1999. Publican in 1916 was Henry Woodroffe.
From 1881 Census the Publican was my ancestor John Cleaver who also was a clay pipe maker. The Cambridge Folk Museum does have one of his clay pipes in storage (used to be out on display).
