The White Hart was situated at 13 High Street. This grade-II listed pub was present by 1881 when the publican was Joseph Merry. It is now in residential use.
 
Listed building details:
Cottage, formerly the White Hart P.H. Probably late C16 with end to road rebuilt late in C19. Timber frame, rendered and pantiled roof with C19 internal stack. Original three bay plan. Lean-to extension on east side and adjoining outbuilding at north end, C19. Two storeys. Two small pane C19 horizontal sliding sashes at first floor. Two late C20 casements at ground floor. Late C19 brick rebuild of original parlour bay towards the road. Brick, painted and slate roof. Two storeys. Doorway in west side wall. Outbuilding at north end, C19, timber framed. Originally the cellar to the public house. Interior: Two bays of late C16 house remain. Arch braced tie beam and heavy jowled heads to main posts. Ground floor ceiling with original stop chamfered joists laid flat. Hearth removed late C19 and replaced by small internal hearth in side wall.
