The Riverside was situated at 4 Melbourne Street and was used as the H2O Bar following closure

John Leah was the landlord/licensee from June 2004 to October 2009. This pub was owned by Punch Taverns until 2007 then purchased by Admiral Taverns who own it today. It looks much better inside than it does outside, due to the fact that both owners refused to spend any money on improvements. This decision coupled with the brewery charging high beer prices to the licensee ultimately led to it's demise and subsequent closure. It had many great customers, many great members of staff..
