The Souracre Tavern was situated at 122 Wakefield Road. This pub has now been converted into a house.

We were walking up Wakefield Road and my mum said that she remembered visiting this pub with her older sister but as she was too young to drink she had to go upstairs with the other kids. Her sister was 18 years older than her and my mum is now 75. I just thought that it was strange that she'd never mentioned it before. Happy memories of playing upstairs in the pub
