The
Admiral Nelson was situated on
Bar Road. This was originally The Dock & Railway Hotel, owned by Devenish, but was turned into
a public house called the Britannia in the early 1980s. When Devenish sold
off most of their pubs in 1989 it was renamed the Admiral Nelson, however it
finally closed in November 2002. The building is currently empty having been
occupied by squatters. |
