Chequers Inn
The
Chequers Inn was situated
on the hill on the Newquay side of the bay. An old Victorian cottage which
was painted a garish blue. This pub struggled during the 1980s and
burnt down twice, I believe. A new pub was built on the site, unsurprisingly
called the Phoenix, and has become very successful. |
