Devonshire Arms

The Devonshire Arms was situated in Church Alley. This pub was present by 1849 when the publican was William Bramwell. in 1899 the Derby Mercury reports reports on an inquest on William Naylor, landlord of the Devonshire Arms, which returned an open verdict – 'found drowned'. It closed c1912 and is now in residential use as Devonshire House and Chalice Cottage.
