Terminus Hotel

The Terminus Hotel was situated on Chatsworth Road. This pub was built c1906 on the site of The Old Pheasant (see below). This pub closed in 2002 and has now also been demolished and replaced by flats.

In the late 1960s the landlord was Paul Keyworth who ran the pub with his wife Pat. The pub had two bars, lounge and tap room. The latter still had a blackout screen on the door. Around 1970 the place was refurbished and a large lounge bar constructed with an attached restaurant. The tap room was moved to the other end (i.e. west) of the building and reduced in size. I don’t remember the beer as being very good.
