The Masons Arms was situated at 2 Edward Street.  This pub was present by 1857 when the publican was William Stevenson. The publican in 1935 was Percy Mason. The pub was previously known as The Strawberry Tree. It is not known whether the change of name was connected to the new publicans name. Closed in 2009 and subsequently converted to flats.
