Every Arms

The Every Arms was situated on Burton Road.  It was once the village pub of Egginton and was very popular with families as it was next to the canal .
Trade suffered when Burton Road was transformed from a country lane to a dual carriageway in the 1970's and the final nail in coffin was when the central reservation was closed cutting off the village of Egginton and creating a  2 mile detour.
Plans were submitted to demolish the pub and build a restaurant but this was refused and planners allowed the removal of the first floor as long as the position of the original windowson the ground floor were unchanged . It now trades as a Indian restaurant Anoki .
