Hassop Station Inn

Hassop Station was opened in 1862 and the Chatsworth Estate built the Hassop Station Inn alongside. It seems it was operated for most, if not all, of its life by the Wheeldon family. Abraham Wheeldon was innkeeper in 1871 (possibly from Day 1 of its operation). On his death his wife Ann took over followed by son, Jonathan. It ceased trading as an inn sometime between 1901 and 1911.  It was described as Station Farm in the 1911 census and is still operating as such under that name.
