I was a mod
in the 1960s and was a regular at the Ammadon (not too sure of the spelling)
which was one of a very few discos in the area at the time - from 1965 to
1967. It was held in the upstairs room at the pub and attracted a dedicated
crowd dancing to Motown, Stax and some very obscure soul music labels. |
