Ye Olde Bulls Head was supposedly one of
England's oldest pubs when it closed in 2005. It was situated just of the B6049. |
|
My Grand-father (Mr. Frederick Bilzon
and his wife Ada Ann Bilzon) owned this pub from 1946 – 1954. My grand-dad
bought in from Mary Ann Hoyle in 1946 and sold it to Rosalind Mary Tyler in
1954.
I am so very saddened to see this once thriving and beautiful pub in such a
state of disrepair and abandonment.
My mum and her twin-sister (Marjory Mary) loved living in this Old pub when
they were young girls (aged 10 years).
I will be visiting my Mums (now deceased) old home when I visit in August,
and was so looking forward to showing my own 2 young teenage children where
there ‘Grandy’ once lived.
How very, very sad. |
