The Royal Tiger was situated on Nottingham Road.
This pub was present by 1846 when the publican was John Brough. It is now used as a veterinary practice. The Royal Tiger is mentioned
in the Whites Directory of 1857 when George Rhodes was the inn-keeper and is
the first inn in the hamlet of Somercotes. It is believed that this may not
be the original building and that it stood further back originally. |
