North Star

Date of photo: 2014

The North Star was situated on North Street, in front of the Congregational Church, the pub being used as a secret alleyway to the church. Eventually in more enlightened times the church bought the property and subsequently demolished it around the 1850s. The site was taken over by Ashburton Marbles.
