The
Red Lion was
situated on Old Town Street. This pub was believed to have been present by
the 1730s and was first listed in trade directories in 1797. Tied to the Dawlish Brewery it was transferred to the Heavitree Brewery in 1926. Closed
in the 1980s it was demolished in 1991 and replaced by the residential
building in the photo below. |
