This pub was owned and ran by a friend of mine called Marty
Margie. I'm not sure of the dates but I think sometime between 1970 to 1976,
during which time he purchased the house next door in order to extend the
pub. It was well known for lock ins when licensing hours were regulated. It
was previously owed by two gay ladies whose names I have since forgotten. |
