The
Commercial Inn was situated at 2 Newport Street. This pub had closed by
1914. |
|
Apparently
Sir Humphry Davy and Michael Faraday stayed in the pub sometime during the
Napoleonic era before sailing for France in order for Davy to collect an
award. |
