The Prince Regent was situated at 18 Union Street. This pub is now used as a nightclub called Popcorn.
Don't remember the Prince regent as a pub but do remember it as a great dancehall. My late husband and I used to go there most Saturday nights, wonderful dancefloor glitter all, lots of very good ballroom dancing. This would have been in 1963, 64, and early 65, when we were both stationed at HMS Raleigh over Torpoint side. Like Cinderella I had to be back by midnight, so we were always having to leave the dance early to catch the last ferry. Wonderful happy days.
