The Masons Arms was situated on Chapel Street, a narrow lane that runs parallel to the seafront. This pub closed in 1983 and was converted into housing.

My great gran ran the Masons around 1910. One of her sisters also ran it for a while. Then my Gran - my mum grew up there when they rented rooms to holiday makers as well as running the pub. My Gran’s cousin, Great Aunty Joan took the pub over at some point and ran it until just a few years before it closed.
