The Oxenham Arms was situated on Shelly
Road. This was originally a 16th century
manor house. It closed as a pub in 2008. |
|
It shut in November 2008 when the then owner went bankrupt.
It
re-opened
in April 2009 with the previous owner now running it in his new
capacity of manager.

Stayed here several times in the 1990s.
Reputedly haunted, though I never noticed anything out of the ordinary. Has
a menhir incorporated in an internal wall of the smaller, back, bar. A
second standing stone stood in the dining room, but this was thought to have
been an import rather than an original. |
