Oxford Arms

The Oxford Arms was situated on the junction of Fore Street and Mickelmore Street. This former Courage pub closed in the mid 1970s. Its Immediate use after closed as a pub was as an Arthur Cooper off licence.

My parents Phil ( Felix ) & Vera Fearon moved into the Oxford Arms in 1938 with my 2 sisters Betty & Shirley. My brother Tony & myself were born in the Oxford during the war.My Dad died in 1953 & my Mum carried on until 1960 when we moved to The Watermans Arms Buckfastleigh, my Mum retired in 1965
