The
Smugglers Inn was
situated on Steamers Quay Road.
Originally a private house called Algoa Villa,
it became a cottage hospital in 1885, then a private club. During WWII it
was used as offices for a shipbuilding company after which it became a
public house.
It is now used as a doctors surgery. |
