The Paddock Inn was previously known as The Country House, was on London Road (the old A30) at Whimple. This is another pub that was by-passed by the Honiton-Exeter dual carriageway; in fact the car park was used as a caravan park for the road workers. The pub is now a private house, part of a small estate built on the car park. it closed in 2002.
