The New Inn was situated at 27/28 South Street.
A former Eldridge Pope pub converted to three shops and offices after closure in 1989. The offices became flats around 2010. In 1842 and 1844 directories William Harris is listed as a beer retailer in South street and in 1851 and 1855 at New Inn. I don't know if it closed for a period but in Kelly's 1889 and 1895 directories I can find no mention of New Inn or 27 or 28 South Street.
