The Three Cups Hotel was situated on Broad Street.
This grade-II listed pub was present
by 1851 when the publican was William Foss. It closed in 1991. |

Early to mid C19 probably; The Three
Cups Hotel moved to this side after the fire of 1844 [until this date the
site had been occupied by Hiscott's Boarding House]. 3 storeys. 3 bays.
Moulded eaves cornice. Coursed rubble and slated. Rusticated quoins. Sash
windows with glazing bars intact. Columned porch at right hand end supports
2-storeyed round bay with pilasters between the windows
and cornices over windows. Left hand return wall is slate-hung. |
