Rob Machin 2007/2008 I was the last landlord here, very sad day we left, Hall and Woodhouse pulled it from under us, after spending a load of money on it, I painted it through out including all the outside cleaned up the garden and turned 2 rooms into b & b, they said it wasnt viable, which meant they had sold it to build a 53 bed care home on the land, its now demolished
Paul Phillips 1979 I remember going into the original 'Upton Hotel' and what was once the 'off licence' The 'offy' was situated right in the middle of the building. The car park was always full. The Pub was built in the 1920's and the name 'Greenridge' is because of the Green roof tiles which I think were made by Carters tiles of Poole
