The New Inn was situated on Lower Street. This pub closed c1974 and is now used as a private house. There was also an older New Inn at Whitchurch Canonicorum which closed sometime around 1927 when the landlord died and his wife who ran the village shop didn't want to keep the pub. Palmers Brewery then built a new New Inn.
